Our staff comprise artists with diverse interests. We continue to gain knowledge by taking classes, reading, experimenting, and creating our own art. We also learn from our customers. Thank you for choosing to shop with Albright Art Supply. Additional staff for the holiday shopping season is available to help you with “arty” gift buying needs.
In the Spring of 2014, I opened Revolutionary Concord next to Albright Art Gallery with supplies. I was offered the opportunity to also own Albright Art in the Fall of 2014. My creative energy mainly flowed in the gift area of merchandise buying & display therefore I welcomed the challenge of an art store! The Gallery is now filled with wonderful arty gifts & supplies showing my colorful and whimsical personality.
Cynthia Rodday received a BA in Studio Art from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and an MFA in 2-Dimensioinal Concentration from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Prior to joining Albright Art Supply, Cindy spent several years working at Commonwealth Corporation in Boston as a graphic and web designer for the organization.
Cindy is also an artist working with charcoals, pastels, and watercolors. Her artworks have primarily been exhibited in Massachusetts and Georgia. She has created digital prints exhibited as part of Umbrella Studio’s Biennial Compact Print Exhibition and Exchange in Queensland, Australia since 2004. Customers looking for local Concord landmarks will find several pastels, prints, and watercolors for purchase from Cindy at the shop.
In 2009, Bonnie Albright started with Albright Art & Crafts downstairs at 32 Main Street. The shop evolved over the years to include a contemporary art gallery along with a professional grade art supply shop taking up the entire downstairs. In early 2014 the contemporary gallery closed with Revolutionary Concord, owned by Marie Foley, moving into the gallery space. Marie took the opportunity to purchase Albright Art Supply in Fall 2014 and put her own mark on the business. The selection of art supplies has now widened to include student to professional grade art supplies with children’s supplies and kits. Through outreach and a relationship with The Umbrella and Concord Art, the shop is always busy with artists & their creative ideas!
The Umbrella enriches lives and builds a vibrant community through the arts while inspiring creativity, learning, and personal growth through arts education programs, performing and visual arts presentations, and community collaborations. They have studio space for more than 50 artists.
